Join artist Khrysta Papalini on Saturday\, August 8th as we create colorful self-portraits using nothing but colorfol patterned paper\, scissors\, and a little imagination. Using a small mirror as a reference\, you’ll cut and arrange simple and unexpected shapes to build a one-of-a-kind portrait that captures your features in a fun\, expressive way. \nExplore how artists simplify complex images into basic shapes while experimenting with color\, composition\, and creative expression. There are no wrong answers\, whether your portrait is realistic\, abstract\, or delightfully wacky. \nThis is a free\, come-and-go family event. The activity takes about 20-40 minutes to complete. Younger children may need a grown-up’s help with cutting\, and families are encouraged to create together! \nSecond Saturday Art is powered each month by AVB Bank. Their partnership helps make these events fun and free for everyone.
