DESCRIPTION:This month artist Dusty Nail will help you make your own custom stamp out of a classroom eraser! You’ll create a design\, transfer it\, and carve it out then test it with a variety of colors. Along the way you’ll explore negative vs positive shapes as well as mirroring. \nThis is a family friendly activity that can take between 20 – 60 minutes. You may work individually or combine stamps in a group to create more detailed artworks. Carve one side or add designs on all six faces of your eraser! \nThe craft involves using sharp cutting tools. DESCRIPTION:Time to jam out in June! For this month’s Second Saturday Art Activity\, we’ll be creating our own album cover art. Participants will choose from a variety of fictional music acts and track lists on small CD-sized paper templates\, then use a mix of 2D art supplies to design an album cover that matches the tone\, theme\, and mood of the music. Once finished\, you can slide your artwork into a real jewel case for display. You’ll even get to draw and collage on a blank CD to complete the look! \nWe’ll be using some of history’s most iconic album covers and an eclectic playlist for inspiration.
