Phase 2 Building Expansion
Vote “Yes” on General Obligation Bond Proposition 4 on April 7th, 2026
Broken Arrow voters will consider the Build Our Future BA General Obligation Bond on April 7, 2026.
Proposition 4 includes funding for improvements to public facilities across the city, including a $7.5 million investment to expand Arts@302. Along with Proposition 4, there are 7 additional bond proposals for your consideration on the ballot.
Arts@302 is Broken Arrow’s destination for hands-on creative experiences, offering year-round classes, workshops, and rotating gallery exhibitions for all ages. Over the past three years, thousands of residents have participated in programs ranging from ceramics and painting to youth classes and performances, with many offerings regularly filling to capacity and developing waitlists. This consistent demand reflects both strong community engagement and the growing need for additional space.
If approved, potential improvements could include:
- Expanded pottery and sculpture studio space
- Flexible rehearsal and performance venue
- Dedicated youth classroom
- Media arts and digital production space
- Facility enhancements to support growth
These concepts are based on current community needs and will depend on final funding and feasibility. Scroll below to find deeper information on these proposed expansions.
Our goal remains simple: ensure every Broken Arrow resident has a place to create, learn, and belong.
Quick Facts

- Approved projects will be completed over an 11-year period. Projects can be completed before that time.
Proposed Expansions
Images are only illustrative examples of proposed projects and are subject to change.

Expanded Pottery & Sculpture Studio
Our in-demand pottery studio has outgrown its current space. This project would double the size of the studio and add more wheels, kilns, and storage, improving workflow and allowing us to serve more students and expand what we offer.
Project Benefits:
- Accommodate more students in currently waitlisted classes
- Offer a wider range of pottery and hand-building classes
- Provide significantly more studio access for Clay Club students

Flexible Event, Rehearsal & Performance Space
This dedicated performance space would serve as a new venue for concerts, theatre, community events, and rentals. Designed as a flexible, multi-use room with seating for approximately 150 to 200 people, the space would support everything from live performances and lectures to rehearsals, workshops, and private events, significantly expanding our scale of events.
Project Benefits:
- Increase Arts@302's capacity to host larger audiences and ticketed events.
- A permanant home for our 302 Children's Choir, theatre classes/camps, and more.
- A smaller affordable rental venue for community events.

Culinary Arts Studio
The proposed expansion includes a versatile catering kitchen that could host chef demonstrations, tasting events, and small hands-on culinary workshops. Through partnerships with local chefs, Arts@302 could offer engaging introductory culinary experiences that bring creativity and community together
Project Benefits:
- Offer hands-on cooking classes, workshops, and demonstrations for all skill levels
- Create opportunities for farm-to-table dinners, tastings, and special events
- Open new revenue and partnership opportunities through classes, events, and rentals

Dedicated Youth Studio
Kristin Chenoweth’s Artists of Promise (K@P) is a free after-school arts program serving young students with opportunity gaps. As K@P expands into elementary and middle school programming, there is a growing need for a dedicated space these students can call their own. This project would create a consistent, welcoming environment where K@P students can learn, create, and build confidence within the arts center.
Project Benefits:
- Provide a dedicated home for K@P programming as the program continues to grow
- Create a safe, welcoming space where students can build ownership and confidence
- Strengthen Arts@302’s ability to serve students with opportunity gaps through focused, long-term programming

Artist-In-Residence & Public Art
This dedicated Artist-in-Residence studio would provide a professional workspace for visiting and local artists to develop new work, teach, and engage with the community. The space would support short-term and long-term residencies, allowing artists to create on site while also contributing to classes, workshops, demonstrations, and public programs. This project would strengthen Arts@302’s role as a hub for working artists and creative exchange.
Project Benefits:
- Provide a dedicated studio space for visiting and local artists-in-residence
- Increase student and community access to working professional artists
- Strengthen Arts@302’s cultural impact through sustained artist engagement

Media Arts Studio
Arts@302 has a growing need for media production space. This dedicated studio would include the equipment necessary for video and music production and would support classes, demonstrations, and community events and rentals. The space would allow participants to learn, create, and share digital work in a professional, hands-on environment.

- Support video and music production classes, workshops, and demonstrations
