Phase 2 Building Expansion

General Obligation Bond on April 7th, 2026

Arts@302 is a thriving downtown hub for creativity and connection. In just 36 months, our classes and programs have drawn thousands of residents — with pottery, youth, and performance programs already operating at full capacity. The proposed bond allows Broken Arrow to explore Phase 2 improvements to the Brown-Kimbrough Center for Arts, Innovation & Creativity. Final projects will be determined by available funding, community interest, and long-term feasibility.

Why Arts@302 Matters

  • Strong demand — pottery, performance, painting class and kids camps; all frequently have waitlists.
  • A downtown anchor that drives activity in the Rose District.
  • Programs and events for all ages, from children to adults.
  • Investment in Arts@302 enhances Broken Arrow’s cultural identity and quality of life.

Quick Facts

  • If approved, $6,200,000 would be pledged by the City of Broken Arrow to Arts@302’s expansion.
  • Approved projects will be completed over an 11-year period. Projects can be completed before that time.
  • Arts@302 is only part of Proposition 4 out of 8 total propositions. Propositions 1-7 will not induce a tax increase for Broken Arrow residents. Each of the propositions are voted on seperately and will be approved/rejected separately.

City leaders used internal reports and data, feedback from residents received at public meetings, recommendations from community groups that use our public facilities, recommendations from the Citizen Steering Committee, and the results of surveys to compare to a running list of capital needs. Projects were selected based on various factors, such as priority; feedback from citizens, business leaders and Councilmembers; availability of funding and desire to improve the quality of life in Broken Arrow. City Council received the recommended list on Dec. 2, 2025 and opened a two-week review period for citizens to provide feedback before the governing body finalized the list on Dec. 16, 2025.

  • Offer a larger variety of pottery and hand building classes
  • More space would allow much more studio time to our Clay Club students.
