Celebrate Chalk It Up with your own miniature chalk masterpiece! Join artist Grace McCoy on Saturday, September 12th to create a colorful mini artwork inspired by this year’s theme, “Road Trip Playlist: Sights and Songs.”
Draw inspiration from a road trip, Route 66 landmark, favorite destination, landscape, song, or the feeling of music playing through the car speakers. Using colorful chalk, experiment with layering, blending, drawing, and lettering to create a one-of-a-kind piece.
Examples and inspiration will be available, but there are no wrong answers! Your artwork can be realistic, abstract, silly, nostalgic, or completely unexpected. This free, come-and-go activity is open to all ages and takes approximately 15-30 minutes.
