Make beautiful art from fresh flowers! Join artist Sean Tyler on Saturday, October 10th for a free flower pounding activity. Based on the Japanese art of Tataki Zome, you’ll arrange flowers into beautiful designs before lightly hammering them into paper, preserving the colors and shapes in one-of-a-kind prints!

You’ll make beautiful artworks on paper using nothing but flowers and a little bit of pressure! Explore the vibrant colors found in nature and arrange your flowers however you’d like! You can leave them whole to capture the shape or arrange individual petals into creative designs.

This is a free, come-and-go family event. The activity takes about 10-20 minutes to complete. Younger children may need a grown-up’s help with hammering, and families are encouraged to create together!
