Colorful, translucent, sharp and beautiful! Come work with stained glass mosaic artist, Katie Wheat Pernu to explore the exciting art form of glass on glass mosaic. Students will learn to cut and form stained glass, combine it with other media, and assemble it into an original, translucent, glass on glass mosaic landscape. This includes learning safe procedures with glass, use of several glass cutting and forming tools, and review of various applicable glues. Layout and design of the image will also be covered. Students will learn how to grout their piece in class but may have to finish this step at home depending on how much time they need to assemble the mosaic pieces into a landscape. All skill levels are welcome!
