Each year the Broken Arrow Rose Festival and “Chalk It Up!” An Art Festival team up for a community art contest held inside the Arts@302 gallery. Submissions are open to amateur and professional artists from pre-k age to senior citizens.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st place in each age division. The theme of the 2024 art contest is In My Own Backyard.

Contest Information
- Artwork Theme: The contest theme is In My Own Backyard. All artwork must represent the theme in some way. All artwork must be family friendly and void of any overtly political or sexual themes. Arts@302 reserves the right to refuse any artwork that does not comply to contest guidelines.
- One Entry Per Person
- Ready to Hang: All 2D submissions must be delivered ready to hang. Please have wire, sawtooths, or D-rings on the back of any framed work or canvases.
- Accepted Sizes: 18” x 24” is the maximum size for paintings and drawings (frame dimensions not included). Works larger than this will not be accepted into the show.
- Accepted Mediums in this show include (but are not limited to) drawings, paintings, sculptures, glass art, fiber art, mixed media and photography. Printed digital artworks are accepted but must be original.
- Art Printed on Paper: (without a frame) must be matted.
- Framed Pieces: Do not require matting. If pieces are matted, they can be any color.

Winning Entries: Cash awards and ribbons for first place in each division and category. Ribbons only for second and third place. People’s Choice will receive a ribbon and cash prize.
Awards will be given at the reception on Thursday, September 12th.
Submission and Drop-Off Information
All artwork must be submitted in the online form prior to drop-off.

Submitted artwork must be picked up September 30th-October 5 during Arts@302 business hours.
