Kayla Anley Presents: Between Field and Fable
Show Dates: July 11th–September 14th
Opening Reception: July 24th 5:30–7:00
Between Field and Fable brings together new works by Oklahoma artist Kayla Anley, Arts@302’s primary drawing instructor. Through graphite, watercolor, and gouache, Anley explores the space between animals encountered in the natural world and creatures carried through myth, folklore, and story.
The mini gallery show brings familiar animals and native plants into conversation with legendary creatures like unicorns, griffins, and perytons. Together, they form a world where the natural and the mythic feel intertwined, playful, and alive. These creatures are more than subjects. They become messengers, companions, warnings, and guides, reflecting the human desire to find meaning in the beings around us.
