In collaboration with the Military History Center of Broken Arrow, we are offering a free six-week writing and art course for military-connected adults in our community called, “What’s Your Story?: Linking Your Past to the Future Through Creative Expression.” The classes will be offered on Thursday evenings 6:30pm-8:30pm at Arts@302 May 15th-June 10th.

Class size will be limited to ten participants. Classes will be taught by Romney Nesbitt, MHC volunteer, retired art teacher, artist, and author.

Estimated costs for this program total $3,000. This cost includes artist/instructor fees, marketing, supplies, grant management and reports, preparation of artworks and stories, and reception food. Our request through the Oklahoma Arts Council is a matching grant. We will need to look for approximately $1500 of funding in the community.
